Best Refurbished Venue Space

To be eligible to nominate in this category, the hotel may choose the area within the hotel that has been refurbished. The refurbishment must have been completed no earlier than 31 October 2022 and no later than 30 November 2024. A written submission is required to assist in the assessment of this category and is required by Tuesday 17th December.

Documents required for submission:

• A written response describing the judging criteria below.
• Supporting documents and images, where relevant.

Judges will be assessing the following points in your written submission:

• Provide a general depiction of your refurbishment and outline the philosophies behind its inspiration.
• How have you achieved innovation in the design and refurbishment of the space?
• Describe the quality of products used and the attention to detail that was provided.
• Describe how the refurbished space is appropriate to your clientele.
• Describe and demonstrate your commitment to environmental sustainability, including in-house recycling, waste management, energy and water saving initiatives.
• Demonstrate financial growth due to the refurbished space.
• Describe how the refurbished space led to improved staff efficiency.
• Provide evidence that your refurbishment was completed in the specified timeframe.
• Please include photos of “before” and “after” to show extent of redevelopment

Important:  A concise written submission addressing all bullet points should be no more than 1,000 words in length.
